Florence, Italy is by far one of my favorite cities in the world. This was my second time there & Mr. Neill's first time and he loved it as much as I thought he would! Florence is easy to get around (you can walk everywhere- no public transit needed), has great sights & food, and is a quick and easy trip to the beautiful tuscan wine country.

I have some great recommendations for Florence:
Stay: Hotel Lorena is a great budget-friendly hotel with a great location and good price
Eat: Trattoria Lo Stracotto, Golden View Open Bar
Do: The Duomo (one of the prettiest chapels inside and the line moves quickly, you can also climb the tower for a great view of the city), Accademia (where the David statue resides- purchase tickets in advance!), San Lorenzo Market, Uffizi Gallery (again, purchase tickets in advance), Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo (best view of the city), Chianti Region Wine Tasting.
